Tanglin Teh Tarik
The last teh tarik we had before Jhan moved out from my place.

Ao Nang Princeville Resort, Krabi ( 9-12 Jun 06 )
On the first day, Jhan and I were picked up from the airport to be brought around for the City Tour. It was about 8am. The first place we went to was the Tiger Cave Temple. A beautiful place indeed!! The stray dogs and cats were friendly towards each other and the visitors. In fact, we did not even hear any dogs barking at anyone or anything!! Amazing!
This is a statue of the monk who originally found the temple and spent ages meditating in the cave.

The staircase leading up the little nook where the monk meditated.

A close-up of a picture placed next to another statue of the monk. Look at how there are representations of other religions in one frame.

A replicate of the Green Buddha or Emerald Buddha whose original can be found at the Grand Palace in Bangkok.

Then we were brought to a little village eatery where we had duck noodle. It was wonderful!! I think the chilli and the fish sauce were the trick. Jhan had TWO bowls of duck noodles!! That's how good it was.

After breakfast, we went to Krabi Town for some shopping. They had a delightful traffic light at the centre of the town!! Three Neanderthal Men holding on to the traffic lights. Apparently, they found a skull of a Neanderthal Man dated 450BC in Krabi Town. That's how the idea came about.

Notice too how the little elephants in the background had the lights attached to their trunks!

After that, we checked into Ao Nang Princeville Resort right smack in Ao Nang Beach amidst the Ao Nang Night Market. The room was heavenly. Exactly how I'd love my room to be. The furniture and decor really showed the extent to which the resort management spent time and effort making the room look really fantastic.

Day Two!! Breakfast wasn't all that great but there were a number of eateries and restaurants along the beach right next to our resort. So we didn't mind coz we had room to try all the snacks at the roadside.

Across the road in front of the resort is the beach. Behind the resort is the greenery. There were side road hawkers day and night. We definitely never went hungry!!

On the very last night, we put in a little bit more effort dressing up for dinner.

And these are some of the things we bought for ourselves and family members!!

A beautiful vacation to commemorate a fantastic year together.
